At DDL, we are committed to a top tier safety program and believe that “nothing we do is worth getting hurt”. Our policy statement and corporate philosophy is simple and powerful. It comes from the Hawaiian word “Pono” which translates to “Do the right thing”. We are committed to “doing what is right” in all decision making. We believe that a safe working environment is the right of all workers, and therefore have adopted a zero tolerance policy for unsafe practices.
Keeping our employees safe is not looked at from only a perspective of compliance, but rather because we consider ourselves a family and truly care about each employee’s safety and wellbeing as if they were our own father, mother, brother, sister, son or daughter.
Our experience modification factor and incident rates over the last eight years have consistently been far better than the industry average in the State of Hawaii.
Training and prevention is a continuous occurrence for all levels of employment. Safety Training includes, but not limited to, New Hire Safety Orientation, Fall Protection, Scaffold, Excavation/Trenching, Forklift/Rough Terrain, Scissors Lift, Snorkel Lift Certification, Accident Reporting/Investigation, Confined Space, and Ladder Safety.
